Every Member Campaign
This committee works to encourage AFP members to contribute to the AFP Foundation to build the capacity of philanthropy. Funds raised support a number of worthwhile endeavors, including providing scholarships to local fundraisers.
Assist us in making certain that people interested in becoming involved with AFP are able to do so, despite any economic challenges. This committe solicits new scholarship applicants, selects awardees and provides networking opportunities.
Take an active role in monitoring state and federal legislation as it affects philanthropy and fundraising, and relay revelant information to AFP membership. Watch for articles on issues that relate to the the sector and work to educate elected officials about AFP and philanthropic issues.
Marketing & Communications
From Facebook and Twitter to emails and website content, the marketing and communications team works to ensure that those in the St. Louis region are aware of the many events and resources AFP provides.
Work with the membership committee to recruit, orient and retain members through personal outreach, planning and implementing new member orientation sessions, surveying members, and communicating the value of membership to prospective members.
Help members make the most of their membership by pairing them up for meaningful mentorships. Identify mentors and mentees, and communicate regularly with participants.
National Philanthropy Day
Each year, National Philanthropy Day brings together the leading fundraisers in our region. This committee works to select recipients for the chapter’s annual Awards for Philanthropy, identify speakers and manage logistics for the National Philanthropy Day Luncheon in November.
Help to develop compelling programming for the chapter. From monthly luncheons and seminars to the Fundraising Fundamentals series, work with the programming committee to select topics, recruit talent and manage event logistics.
AFP strives to provide helpful resources to professionals at every point of their career. The senior professionals committee promotes the involvement of experienced professionals in the chapter and ensures programming is in place to fulfill their needs.
