The Association of Fundraising Professionals, St. Louis presents:
What instead of attending a conference to learn new ways of doing things, you attend a conference to learn new ways of thinking?
We want to blow your mind. Give you a day full of 'aha!' moments. It is not about thinking outside the box, but not even having a box. This is a conference like none you have attended before. This is less about people at podiums telling you how to do things differently, and instead more interactive sessions teaching you how to think differently. A day full of big ideas to change more than how you raise money, it will help you change how you think about your work, your organization and your community. It will recharge you, reignite you and most importantly, help you do your work more effectively.
Rev. Starsky Wilson will start out the day by rethinking the role of philanthropy in St. Louis, the way only Starsky, president of Deaconess Foundation and co-chair of Ferguson Commission, can. His big ideas are changing how St. Louis cares for its children, and will change how you see our city.
At lunch, our keynote speaker, Jason Bockman, will share his story of overcoming some crazy odds to become the co-founder and owner of Strange Donuts. It is an amazing and inspirational story to motivate you to see yourself and those around you differently. Oh did we mention, he's founded a non-profit, is devoted big brother at Big Brothers and Sisters, husband and new father.
